All right, welcome to Seller Society. This is your host Goten, and today we’re continuing our usual series where we share the sales we make on Jumia.
Today is the 18th of September, 2025, and I’m going to show you the sales we’ve generated so far. We still have about three hours left before the end of the day, but this is usually the time I record these videos, so let’s go ahead and take a look.
Here’s our account. As you can see, we have some pending orders, but we’ve also shipped a few today. Let’s click on “Shipped” to see the numbers.
For the 18th, we’ve had sales of 10,000 naira, another 10,000, 6,500, 12,000, and another 10,000. Now let’s check the pending orders—here we’ve got about 15,000 and another one for 70,000.
Altogether, when you sum everything up, it comes to around 140,000 to 150,000 naira for today. That’s pretty good.
Keep in mind, this store is less than four months old—just about three months plus—and this has been our daily average. When you add that up, you can see we’re on track to generate between four and five million naira a month on average. That’s quite impressive for a new store.
Now, I’m not showing you this to brag. The purpose is to show you what’s possible and to encourage you to get started. It doesn’t matter whether you have just a few products—say 10—or even 100. The key is to start. List your products, run ads, join Jumia campaigns, and begin making money online.
If you’re new, a beginner, or maybe already selling on Jumia but struggling with low sales and unsure how to scale up, I recommend you take our Masterclass. It will educate you and guide you step by step on how to make money selling on Jumia.
And if you’d like to work with me directly, we also have a one-on-one coaching option. In that, I’ll personally teach you, recommend products for you to sell, and give you hands-on strategies. But even if you don’t choose one-on-one, the Masterclass alone is enough to get you started.
Thank you very much for watching. I’ll see you in the next video.
Welcome to this special episode where we share the results from our Jumia store. My name is Goten, I’m your host today, and I’m going to show you the results we’ve generated so far.
Let’s hop into the orders page and click on “All” to see what we’ve made today. Today is the 17th of September, 2025, and as you can see, we’ve made several sales.
We have 10,000 naira, 11,000, 18,000, another 10,000, and another 10,000. Here’s 20,000, then 18,000, and 12,000. When you add everything up, it comes to over 130,000 naira in sales today. That’s really amazing.
So far, this store has been doing very well. It’s barely three months old, yet we’re already generating these kinds of numbers. Looking at the trend, we’re on track to be doing 3 to 4 million naira a month based on current sales growth.
If you want to achieve results like this, we’ve created a special course called the Jumia Masterclass inside Seller Society. This course teaches you step by step how to make money selling on Jumia. It covers everything you need, including the little details that make the difference.
The course is short and condensed—it takes only about four hours to complete—but it gives you everything you need to start right away.
That’s what we have for today’s update. If you’re interested, you can click the link below. And if you have questions, my WhatsApp number is there as well—I’ll reply within 24 hours.
Thank you for watching, and I’ll see you in the next video.
Today we’re going to look at the sales we’ve generated. As of today, September 15, 2025, let’s go to the orders page and review the pending orders we have.
Now, because I’m recording this after midnight, it’s already showing the 14th, which is the previous date. But as you can see, we actually made a couple of sales. Here’s 26,000 naira, N65,000, and N22,000. When you add all of this up, it comes to about 100,000 naira—100k in one day. That’s amazing.
This shows you what’s possible selling on Jumia. If you’re making 100k every single day, that adds up to about 3 million naira monthly. With 3 million in sales, your profit margin will usually range between 30% to even 50%. That means you could be pocketing between 800,000 to 1.5 million naira in profit.
Now here’s the good thing—and what I find most exciting—about selling on Jumia: you can actually sell high-ticket products. That’s why I advise my students to focus on products priced above 20,000 naira. As you can see, we sold items above 20k, some above 60k, and even products around 25k to 30k. With just a few sales, you’re already making a lot of money.
This is exactly why I’m doing this series on a day-to-day basis—to show you what’s possible with this store.
If you’re looking to start selling on Jumia, we’ve already created a detailed course inside Seller Society that will guide you step by step. The course teaches you how to source products, find bestsellers, and even run ads to get more eyes on your listings. Everything is broken down into simple steps.
The best part? The course costs almost nothing, and once you purchase, you have lifetime access. It’s only about 4 hours long, so you can go through it at your own pace, digest it, and then start immediately.
This is proof that you can build a full-time income selling on Jumia.
Thank you very much, and I’ll see you in the next video.
In this video, I’m going to show you what we’ve been doing on this account. Today is the 12th of September 2025, and I’ll be showing you the sales we’ve made so far on this account for this specific day.
Let’s go to the order page. We’ll click on “All,” and from here, we can see the order date and the sales that have been made today.
This is actually a very small account that we’re using for test purposes, but it has been giving us tremendous results. Looking at these specific sales—let me zoom in so you can see this more clearly—you’ll notice some products sold for N3,000+, N9,000+, N6,000+, and even N15,000 and so on.
The interesting part is that we’re not pushing too hard on these sales. We haven’t started advertising aggressively yet, and we’ve not run any Jumia campaigns. Still, the account is generating sales. Looking at the cumulative sales, it’s about 30,000 to 40,000 naira made just today.
On a really good day, we make over 200,000 to 300,000 naira. Even if you have a store making 30,000 to 50,000 daily, that adds up to about 1.5 million naira in a month. Some might call that small, but it clearly proves the system is working.
Now, if you’re making around 1.5 million monthly with this type of store, your profit will fall between 500,000 and 800,000 naira, which is very good. That’s enough profit to reinvest. And as you keep reinvesting, you’ll notice your sales and profit increasing over time.
We’ll continue sharing these daily updates to show you what we’ve been selling. This will hopefully motivate you to start as well. We’ve made it very easy for you to begin. If you’d like to learn how to sell on Jumia, you can visit our website: homiley.com.
It’s just a 4-hour course that teaches you everything you need to know about making money selling on Jumia.
To create your Jumia seller account, you need to go to this website: vendorcenter.jumia.com. Or you can simply go to Google and type in “sell on Jumia Nigeria” and go from there.
Click the link that says Vendor Center Jumia. It will take you straight to the page where you have to sign up. From here, you can click “Sell on Jumia.”
You have to select your country. We are going to select Nigeria, then click on Next. Now, you are going to enter your email and verify the email.
You will receive a verification code in your email, copy the verification code, and paste it, then click on Verify.
Next, Jumia expects you to enter your phone number. I’m going to enter my phone number and also set my password.
Then click on Next.
Now, you have the option to select as a business or as an individual. If you’re a business and you want to sign up as a business, you need some requirements. They will need your company’s registration documents. But for the sake of simplicity, we are going to start with the individual. So just simply register as an individual.
Next, proceed with a shop name. Enter your shop name.
Then select your location. For quick registration, I’m going with Lagos as my shipping zone.
“How did you hear about Jumia?” You can just put whatever it is—Google, for example. Then agree with the terms. It is good for you to read the terms, go through them, and then click on Submit.
“Yes, I’m sure.” Click there to submit. Then hold on while Jumia is creating my account.
Proceed to Login to Your Vendor Account
We are expected to log into our account and upload our documents to complete the registration.
Here is my dashboard. My dashboard is live to accept my documents. As you can see, in this first category, it is ticked green, which means it is already completed based on the information we supplied.
We are going to go to the next one and fill in these details. Meanwhile, I want to let you know that you can actually toggle on and fill any of this information. If you don’t have information for a category, you can go on and complete the rest, and later on, when you have the information, you can come back and upload it.
In this category, I’m going to enter my name. I am expected to enter my full name. I’ll just enter my name for reference. Then I’m going to select my passport. If you don’t have a passport, your national ID, voter’s card, or driver’s license—whichever you have—you can upload it.
For your passport, you need to enter your passport number and upload the front side. For demo purposes, I will just upload something here. That is the front side of my passport.
For the back side of the passport—you know your passport does not have a back side—you can either upload the front side again or leave it empty. It is not required since you already uploaded the first one.
Now, you need to enter your TIN. Just to make this video short, we won’t show you how to create a TIN here, but I will leave a video reference. You can watch that YouTube video on how to create your TIN. It is very easy and takes less than 3 to 5 minutes. In 48 to 72 hours, you will get your TIN.
Let’s say we have our TIN: 000000. That is the TIN number. You then upload your TIN document. For demo, I’ll just put any document there.
Your VAT number is not required. The basic information needed is your identification, your TIN, and your legal representative address.
As I mentioned before, it is very good for you to have a Lagos State address. But if you don’t have one, we will provide you with an address. This address will be a shipping company fulfillment address. The reason is because at the later stage, you are going to use this fulfillment company anyway, at least to get started. Using their address is a good start.
So for demo, let’s put Lagos, First Street, Nigeria, and postal code 101. Once complete, click on Submit.
If your document is not getting submitted, you need to check why. Here, it says we need to upload the back side. So I will just upload the same passport again. Now it is uploaded, and I will click on Submit.
You can always come back and re-edit your document before completing the final verification. But note that your review is not completed yet. It will only be completed when all the categories are filled. Once all categories are filled, Jumia will start their verification.
The next category is shipping information. As I mentioned, the shipping information here will be the same as the fulfillment company’s information. If you have your Lagos State address, you can use that. If not, we provide you with one. You can make this the same as your business address and also use it as your return address. Then click Save.
It is now showing completed. You can always come back and re-edit this.
Next is payment information. Select Nigeria, bank transfer. Enter your beneficiary name, your bank account number, and your bank name, for example, First Bank of Nigeria.
For the routing number, if you don’t know it, you can simply go to Google and type “routing number code First Bank Nigeria.” You will see the Swift code and routing number. Copy them and paste them in. If you’re not sure, you can also contact your bank directly for these details.
Next, you need to upload your bank information document, which is your statement. For demo, I’ll just upload a sample document here.
Enter your branch name, for example, Lagos branch, and your beneficiary address (the address on your statement). Then click Create.
You can always come back to edit this information. The details I entered here are not accurate, but you should enter yours correctly.
Next category: shop details. Add your shop name and catalog details.
For catalog details, enter your primary product. For example, I can say “fashion and accessories.” How do you source your product? Options include international brand, local, or dropshipping. You can select the one that applies. I will select “import.”
Do you also sell offline? You can say Yes or No. Do you use any other online channels? If yes, enter them, if not, select No. Then click Save.
This category is now completed, and all our stuff is in review.
Next, shop details. Do you have an existing shop on Jumia? If no, select No. If yes, select Yes.
What type of seller are you? Are you a manufacturer, a brand, a distributor, or a wholesaler? If none applies, you can select Others.
You are expected to upload a document. This doesn’t have to be an official document. You can create a Word document that includes your shop name and a short description like “I am a business owner” or something that describes what you do. You can also upload any business documents if you have them.
This is just a formality to show you are doing this as a business. Once you upload, click Save.
That’s all for the registration. Once it’s done, your shop is live.
Here are the requirements that we need in order for us to start with our registration on Jumia.
Number one is that you need your account details. You need your email, your phone number, which is your Nigerian phone number, and a shop name.
Secondly, you need identification documents. You can present any of these documents: your passport, your driver’s license, or your national ID. Any of this identification is accepted.
Number three is you have to also upload your tax identification number. If you don’t have a tax identification number, I’m going to show you and walk you through how to get your tax identification number.
How to Get Nigeria Tax Identification Number
You also need an address. Yes, of course, you can use any Nigerian address, but we recommend you use a Lagos State address for easy and quick approval process. If you don’t have a Lagos State address, we can provide you an address that you can use (exclusively for our student only).
And your payment information—very important. You need this payment information to receive your payout from Jumia.
So once you have these requirements, then you are good to go with the registration and to become a Jumia seller. See you in the next module.
Introduction to Jumia marketplace. In this module, we are going to have an understanding of what Jumia is. Secondly, we are also going to have a clear understanding of how much reach Jumia has in Africa, specifically in Nigeria, because this whole program is all about selling in the marketplace in Nigeria. And thirdly, we are going to have a very clear understanding of why you should sell on Jumia. See you in the further classes.
What is Jumia?
Jumia is an online marketplace where you buy and sell products. Just like the way you have your physical market, you go to your physical market, you buy things in the physical market, and you also sell products in that physical market.
But here, we have this as an online place where people come, they actually buy things they want. Jumia as a company has their own products that they sell on their platform, and they also have the third party. This third party is you and I. We bring our product to this platform, we list it, and people buy from us.
In conclusion, Jumia is an online marketplace where you buy and you sell products.
How many people are actually coming to Jumia to buy products?
Let’s see. Let’s see the idea, the whole framework behind this Jumia reach. I want to show you something here. This is called SimilarWeb. SimilarWeb gives you an estimate of traffic that comes to a specific website.
And when we look at this traffic, we can see that Jumia has an average of 6 million people that come into Jumia to buy products. 6 million a month.
Can you fathom what it means by 6 million? Now, Nigeria National Stadium, which is in Abuja and is the biggest national stadium, is about 60,000 capacity. That 60,000 capacity is like multiplying it by 100.
Okay, you are having 100 of that 60,000 capacity that gives you 6 million. So you are having like 100 of that stadium packed that comes to Jumia to buy products.
That is how big it is. And that is why people like you and I are making millions. The third parties, the third-party sellers, are making a lot of money because of the reach and how massive the traffic that comes to Jumia is.
As we said, Jumia is an online marketplace where you buy products, where you sell products. You want to sell on Jumia because it gives you the flexibility to make money easily without having to go and rent a shop outside and have that upfront capital before trying to sell products.
You want to sell on Jumia. Probably you have your physical products already that you are selling in your shop, and you want to transition into reaching more customers. Jumia is a very great alternative.
You want to sell on Jumia because Jumia has a lot of people coming there to buy things, and when you put your products, you keep selling. You want to sell on Jumia because it is very easy to set up, and you can start making money from the next day.
You want to start selling on Jumia because Jumia makes it easy for you to make money with them. You don’t even need to do the whole shipping to the customer. They can handle everything on your behalf, or it can be done by the third party, which we are going to be teaching you in the further module.
You want to sell on Jumia because Jumia gives you a playground to young or to old. Anyone can sell on Jumia and start making money without having to hustle, going there, raising capital. You can sell on Jumia even when you have just one product, you have like two products, or you have like 10 products, or you have little money to get started. It makes it easy.
It is an easy hassle-free place to start making money selling products online.
